In the spirit of collaboration and creativity, Uraina's Haven and Jefferson County Schools once again stole the spotlight at the Acaletics Green Party, turning the month of December into a magical experience for students and families alike.
Recapping the Journey:
In November, Acaletics hosted a contest inviting schools from across Florida to showcase their Green Party celebrations. Jefferson County Schools rose to the challenge, capturing the vibrancy and success of their event through a captivating social media post tagged with #AcaleticsGreenParty. The result? Victory and a $500 grant to further enrich the educational experience for their students.
Putting Dollars to Work:
Fast forward to December, and the funds were put to imaginative use for the Grinch-themed Acaletics Green Party. We rang the bells in celebration loud and proud from the decked-out library. The room was filled with laughter as students immersed themselves in a world inspired by Dr. Seuss, complete with whimsical decorations, lively activities, and a touch of holiday magic. The celebration not only embraced the festive season but also radiated the joy of learning and achievement.
Students received some fun Acaletics merch - dog-tag necklaces, candy, and sunglasses were just some of the items in their goodie bags. Alongside her students, Ms. Gillis received a large Christmas-themed basket filled with snacks, movie night essentials, and gift cards to Waffle House and Chick-fil-A.
A Community Affair:
The success of the Grinch-themed Acaletics Green Party is a testament to the power of collaboration, community spirit, and the dedication of educators and organizers. Uraina's Haven, in partnership with Jefferson County Schools, brought to life an event that not only celebrated academic success but also created cherished memories for students and families.
A special thanks to the Monticello Newspaper for covering the event and Ms. Gillis for providing the Christmas Ornament Decorating Activity.
As we reflect on this journey, we're reminded that collaboration breeds innovation, and creative partnerships can transform ordinary moments into extraordinary experiences. The Grinch-themed Acaletics Green Party stands as a shining example of what can be achieved when passion, creativity, and community come together.
